Elegance for Men

My son is cologne obsessed, particularly with high end brands from department stores. I saw this Eternal Love - Elegance - fragrance spray for men, and thought it would fun to try something more affordable for comparison. This 50ml bottle is only $14.99 so it was a low risk order. It arrived in a very nice, sealed box and comes in a nice glass bottle with a sprayer for application. I tend to be sensitive to fragrances so we started small—one spray to his inner wrist. We allowed it to sit and dry, waiting several minutes before smelling. We were both surprised! This smells fantastic and reminds me of a couple of his very high end priced scents. It has floral, citric and woodsy notes that together left him smelling fantastic each time he passed by. This fragrance is not overly powerful, but light. It’s definitely a sunny, summer scent that suits a young man nicely. It dried well, leaving no residue to feel and the longevity is good. I could still smell it hours later. I could smell it within a few feet of him but it did not linger as he left the room. I did not have any breathing problems when he wore it and he had no adverse reactions! For $14.99, this is a great budget-friendly choice and a good value that was better quality than I expected!

I got this without reading any of the scent notes. Total blind grab. Happy I did because this scent took me back a few decades. Reminded me of my dad, who switched between scents like Aspen and Blue (with Old Spice after shave).It's a very clean scent. Aquatic, woodsy, a little citrus, a "masculine" floral. Smells like a summer day or a hug from my dad. It opens up and changes the longer you wear it. Love scents that have complexity to them.It's a personal scent. It lingers close to the body and stays for quite a while. Doesn't fill a room. You get that nice what's that smell when someone walks by a little too close.

I really want to like this cologne, but the notes are so subtle all the way around, it winds up just smelling like windex on my skin. Maybe it just isn't for me, but it could be for someone else that likes very subtle, astringent sorts of scents!
